Title: Who Rules Your Life? – A Reflection of Allegiance
Main Text: Colossians 3:1–2
"Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on the things that are on earth."
Episode Overview:
In this episode, we explore a question that cuts to the very core of our identity and purpose: Who truly rules your life?Every person lives under some form of authority—whether we consciously acknowledge it or not. Our decisions, priorities, attitudes, and actions all reveal who or what sits on the throne of our hearts.
Drawing from Colossians 3:1–2, we are reminded that a life raised with Christ is a life redirected. It is no longer grounded in earthly pursuits but fixed on heavenly realities. This shift is not just philosophical—it is transformational.
Key Theme:
Your life will always reflect your allegiance.
If Christ rules your life, your thoughts, desires, and actions will increasingly mirror His character. There will be a visible pursuit of things above—things that are eternal, pure, and pleasing to God. However, if you rule your own life, your reflection will naturally align with the world—temporary values, self-centered ambition, and shifting truth.
Reflection Questions:
- What currently has the greatest influence over my decisions and priorities?
- Do my daily choices reflect a focus on things above or things on earth?
- In what areas of my life am I still trying to maintain control instead of surrendering to Christ?
- If someone observed my life, what would they say rules my heart?
It matters who rules your heart—because that ruler shapes your life. When Christ is on the throne, your life becomes a reflection of Him. But when the self takes Its place, your life will inevitably reflect the world.
So today, ask yourself honestly: Who rules your life?
